The deli lady today was just very annoying with how slow she is and the way she was responding every station was filthy soup station and all it’s everytime I come here it’s the same thing with this lady. Any other deli worker is GREAT FAST AND CLEAN Uniform always lap sided hat tilted very unprofessional spent my entire break there could not eat my lunch when I arrived back to work. Very upset. Looks like the girl is on some type of drug highed up at work. I don’t mean to judge but don’t come to work if you not stable to be at work…..

Expensive but very convenient. compared to to supermarkets it's expensive but Kept clean. mostly. staff Is friendly and helpful. The do have specials from time to time found on the flyers in the entrance to the store. Overall very good. Never really crowded and that's a good thing nowadays.

Revised Review (4 Stars 🌟):

I was pleasantly surprised when Carlos (the Store Manager) unexpectedly came quickly and was able to fix the machine!

Original Review (1 Star ⭐️):

I specifically called (5.31.18) to be sure the machine was working before dragging 21.5 lbs of change down. Was told it was working, it was not.

This D'Agostinos is my grocery store rock: they've been in the neighborhood for as long as I can remember (so, at least 35 years) and they always, always close at 10 except on major national holidays. They will ALWAYS be there for you when you need milk at 9:55 PM, or when you realize your lettuce (from a different store) is rotten and you were right in the middle of making a salad (admittedly, it helps to live right across the street from them).

The employees are generally friendly and accommodating (it's a union store, so I think they get better pay and benefits than most grocery stores), and the managers truly take pride in their store.

The deli and bakery items are the highlight. They started baking their own croissants about a year ago, and most recently they started baking brownies and blondies that are to die for. They also have really great pies, though I'm not sure if those are made in-house. The muffins are great too, especially the cranberry walnut.

The only downside is that the prices on a lot of the everyday grocery items are insanely high ($6.49 for a can of Reddi Whip, $10.49 for a half-gallon of vanilla ice cream...but the pie I bought to go with them was only $9?). For people on a budget, this can't be your main grocery store; it's just not feasible to spend this much on basic grocery items all the time.

They do have a lot of sales, though, so whenever I go in for a specific item, I usually also wander the store a bit to see where I can shop strategically (like, the cereal is normally insanely expensive, but hey, this week they have Apple Cinnamon Cheerios for $3.99, so Iet's get 3 boxes of those). Also, recently they've started giving out $5 rewards coupons (not sure how much you have to spend to get one).

I used the Coinstar machine. Three or four years of saved coins, $371.60, applied to an Amazon gift certificate so that no fee was taken. Everything worked beautifully.

I just love this store: excellent choice of merchandise even though it’s more costly than some other neighboring stores but also because their stuff is absolutely superb! I went recently to buy their “in hone” made avocado dip but they were out of it. A lovely young man by name Khalid asked me if i would like hime to make me one & when I enthusiastically said yes he went into the kitchen and after 10’ or so brought it to me. I was just so taken by his kindness & willingness to go out of his way to accommodate me! I live on West End Ave & 93 street and even though there plenty of store where I could shop, I will go back to D’Agostino because of this young man & rest of the staff! Thank you so very much Khalid & all of you!

Fresh and varied produce, but ridiculously and extremely overpriced. The 6-pack of evian water costs $5.99 at another store. I only go to this store when I do not have a choice because it's close to where I live.
