I read some of these reviews and don't want to discount them but from my experience and I've been to this location several times, this branch was very helpful and professional. The staff there was able to assist and behaved in a professional manor, that is all one can expect.

I want to give "zero" customer service. I gave a form to transfer a portion of my retirement since February and came back again for additional paperwork. I was told my account will be processed. I called today and this is nowhere to be found. Since I deposited a little amount, maybe this is the reason why my account has not been processed. If you want, no action, come to Charles Schwab Schaumburg. If you are poor like me and not much $, you probably will have the same experience.

I agree with these reviews. I don't know about when you finally work with someone qualified one-on-one, but the customer service is absolutely awful. I was so shocked when the person at the front desk said they couldn't get me an appointment to complete my account transfer. I went to another location and had wonderful service.

Trying to handle things regarding my father's estate was a nightmare at this branch. The receptionist tried to shoo me away twice before I finally convinced her to help me get on the line with someone from estates who could help me. (Since I was hung up on when I called myself and got an ad that wouldn't let me talk to anyone the 2nd time.) She then put the call on speaker so everyone in the office could hear about my father's estate. I have to go back with documents and I have been putting it off because it was such a wretched experience I almost want to stop being a client of Schwab entirely.

This office and consultants are out of order

I visited the office at around noon on Monday.
I asked a receptionist about seeing a consultant.
She gave me the business card and instruct making phone call for making appointment. I told receptionist i'm in your office why I need to call her. Receptionist keep telling me make phone call to business card person. I gave up then made phone call her (business card person). She did not pick my phone call.
I return to office and told same receptionist.
I left my message asking call me back in her voice mail.
She never call me back as of Tuesday more than 24 hours passed from my message.
I thought I can see the professional service during Charles Schwab's office visit. Very very disappointed my first visit.
I don't get why the office is exist.

Ten years ago I stopped in and met immediately with a very helpful, informed individual who guided me correctly. Unfortunately I stopped in yesterday to find this office is now a façade of uneducated, uninformed zombies who have to keep passing you on to others and calling outside their office to other people who can not answer basic questions and who will not just admit that don't know answers but they will research and get back with you. After having two Schwab accounts open for other 30 years I can't believe the incompetency this office provided.

Very helpful in opening a new account. Not nearly the amount of irrelevant information asked to verify what I was intending to do. No sales pitch to try to sell other services not wanted.
